STATEMENT
For me, color is everything — vivid, fluid, melting, dissonant, or harmoniously unifying. I always begin my work with color; the interplay of hues then gives birth to an image and a narrative.
I draw inspiration from nature, folklore, and traditional imagery. My goal is to evoke in viewers the sensation that they can reconnect with themselves and the world around them as they immerse themselves in the color and texture of my works.

One of my favorite themes is the bourgeois-bohemian girl. It’s a story of strength, vastness of personality, and the ability to influence the world. Charismatic, beautiful, ambitious individuals are my subjects of exploration and admiration.
Ever since I got into painting, I have found every brush stroke to be profoundly fulfilling. It is this sense of fullness and resilience that I wish to share with the world. The more challenging the times, the more important it becomes to help people find joy, beauty and relief in life. This is my heartfelt intention and goal.

BIO
Zarina Couleur, born in 1984, is a contemporary artist based in Portugal and Russia. She transitioned into art from the business world, founding a successful creative agency and the international community "New Extraordinary Women". For nearly a decade, Zarina honed her skills in brand development and collaborated with elite design teams. However, a transformative realization led her to pursue her true passion: creating art that resonates deeply with her and sharing it with the world.
Zarina’s works are both simple and complex. They showcase predominance of color over narrative and engage with the viewers’ feelings and emotional intelligence. That reflects the international character of her art.
"Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a movie," says Zarina. It’s this very feeling that she strives to convey in her works. Each canvas and the characters within it resemble frames from a Fellini film.
Zarina made her debut in 2021 with her first exhibition in Moscow, and her works have captured the attention of collectors and art professionals in Russia and beyond.
Her artworks are held in private collections in London, Paris, Zurich, New York, and Dubai.
